Madhuramay — Clothes For A Better You

Terms and conditions

Last updated 14 October 2026

These terms govern your use of this website and any order you place through it. Placing an order means you accept them.

Who you are contracting with

This website is owned and operated by KONE DWARAKAMAI, trading as Madhuramay.

Address: Flat No. 404, Botcha Square, Birla Junction, Muralinagar, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh 530007.

Customer support: support@madhuramay.com or +91 7569417778.

Who may order

You may order if you are eighteen or over and able to enter into a binding contract. We deliver within India only and cannot accept an order for delivery outside it.

Your account

Your account belongs to your mobile number, and you sign in with a one-time code we send to it by SMS. Do not share a code with anyone; we will never ask you for one.

Anything done through your account is treated as done by you, so tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it: support@madhuramay.com or +91 7569417778.

We may suspend or close an account used for fraud, for payment reversals we believe to be dishonest, or to abuse this site or the people who run it.

Products and descriptions

We describe every piece as accurately as we can, including its fabric and, where we have them, its measurements and care. Photographs are taken to represent colour faithfully, but screens differ and a shade may not be exactly what you see.

If a piece reaches you damaged, or is not the piece you ordered, or something is missing, the refund and cancellation policy says what we do and how soon you need to tell us.

Natural variation is not a fault

Where a saree is handwoven, hand-printed or hand-finished, slight irregularities in the weave or the print are characteristic of the craft rather than defects in it. Small differences in shade between two pieces of the same design, and minor variation in measurements, can occur in any textile. We do not treat any of these as damage, and we would rather say so here than argue about it later.

Price and tax

Prices are in Indian rupees and include all applicable taxes. The price you are charged is the price shown at the moment you place the order, even if it changes afterwards.

Delivery is free on orders of ₹1,999 and above; below that it is the courier’s rate for your delivery PIN code, or ₹99 where no courier rate is available. Any delivery charge is shown at checkout before you pay and never added afterwards.

If a price is listed in obvious error, we will tell you before dispatch, and you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund. We will not simply charge you the higher amount.

Orders and acceptance

An order you place is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we confirm the order, not when you pay.

We may decline an order — for example where a piece has sold out between your adding it to the bag and paying, where we cannot deliver to the address given, or where we suspect fraud. If we decline one you have paid for, the full amount is refunded and nothing is kept.

Payment

Every order is paid for when it is placed — online through our payment gateway, Razorpay or Cashfree, or from your Madhuramay wallet. Cards, UPI and net banking are accepted where the gateway offers them. We do not offer cash on delivery.

We never see or store your card number, UPI identifier or banking credentials.

Ownership of a piece passes to you on delivery, and risk passes at the same moment.

Your Madhuramay wallet

Your wallet holds money from refunds and from top-ups you make. It is spent at checkout in this shop, and it is not paid out as cash or to a bank account.

Delivery

Orders are dispatched within two working days of being confirmed, through Shiprocket and the courier partner it assigns. Tracking is sent to you when the parcel leaves us.

Where the courier gives one, checkout shows an estimated delivery date for your PIN code. It is the courier’s estimate, not a guaranteed date.

Cancellation, returns and refunds

Your rights to cancel an order, return a piece and be refunded are set out in full in the refund and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the Consumer Protection Act 2019 gives you.

How you may use this site

When using this site, please do not:

  • Attempt to reach an account, an order or an administrative function that is not yours.
  • Copy the catalogue, the photographs or the written content for a competing commercial purpose.
  • Use automated means to scrape the site, or to place orders at a volume no customer would.
  • Submit a review or a message that is false, abusive, or impersonates someone else.

Intellectual property

The Madhuramay name, the mark, the photographs and the written content on this site belong to us or are used with permission. You may read them, link to them, and print a page for your own use. Anything beyond that needs our written consent.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for delivering what you ordered, in the condition described, and for putting it right when we do not. We are not responsible for a delay caused by a courier, a payment failure at your bank, or an event outside our reasonable control such as a flood, a strike or a shutdown of transport.

Where we are liable, our liability for any one order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

If something goes wrong

Contact customer support first, at support@madhuramay.com or +91 7569417778: most things are settled there.

If a complaint is not resolved, contact madhuramay3@gmail.com or +91 83747 84337, the grievance contact published under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020. A grievance is acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, and the date at the top of this page records when we last did. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it, not a later version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
